ImageJ è un software totalmente gratuito ed open source che permette di analizzare, modificare e migliorare molte immagini soprattutto in ambito medico/scientifico. Consiglio questo tipo di programma in particolare a chi studia o lavora in ambito scientifico in quanto questo programma, sviluppato originariamente in ambito medico, permette di manipolare ad analizzare una vasta categoria di immagini in maniera facile.Per i primi utilizzi consiglio di affidarsi ad un tutorial online o a qualche file di esercizi guidati che vi accompagnerà a scoprire ImageJ e a superare la barriera di un'interfaccia grafica non del tutto pratica.
